     Slam the Gavel welcomes Amanda Story to the podcast. Her case takes place in Forsyth, North Carolina, where as a mother, she only sees her children four days out of the month. Amanda has gone through five attorneys who did nothing for her, but only made things worse by not presenting evidence while in court. In the beginning, her ex had told her, "I will not pay you anything." But it gets much worse than that. This is a family violence situation, she has been threatened by her ex the entire time she was married to him. Amanda had been diagnosed with breast cancer when her ex left. Amanda was taking care of her children as well as his ex wife's children.
    Amanda was face-timing her son and took screen shots of what was going on as she saw a gun going towards her child's head. Prior to mediation, Amanda showed her attorney and right after that she got an Exparte Emergency Custody Order ON HER CLAIMING that she was the ABUSER. She was not allowed to go to court. They claimed there was no court. She NEVER got to show evidence or have her say. They took 50% of her custody away from her. Apparently, her ex has friends. Her ex's goal is to have Amanda on supervised visits.
   But the ex has connections in the courthouse that create a massive conflict of interest as the ex's father was a police officer in the court house, retired. His aunt has worked for the DA's office for 30 years, his sister-in-law worked in the clerk of court and his uncle is a state politician, House of Representatives.
     Amanda has been speaking out at TownHall Meetings with DHHS on Mental Health Issues as one of the main arguments with the opposing attorney who will say Amanda is "CRAZY." Amanda urges representatives to actually represent and protect parents and be aware of the dangers of Family Court, as no one is doing their job. Amanda's old Representative was Donny Lambeth who was over appropriations committee for NC covering DHHS and DV. Amanda now has a new representative, however, she would like them to do their best to do away to the Family Court system that is so corrupt or bring correction to it. She is doing her best to research the policies for policy change, out-reach and advocacy and have other parents tell representatives what actually is happening to their children.
    Amanda went to the police for help, who would in turn CALL his ATTORNEY who would then tell Amanda's fourth attorney that she is trying to get protection, then the outcome would be: "because your client went to the police, we're not going to have him pay anything." ULTIMATE CORRUPTION.
