 Today, Larry goes one on onewith Linda Rainey, Managing Director of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame, who discusses the recent announcement of the 2025 Inductees and mentions the winners  and some of their achievmenets within the Horse Racing industry. Linda also discusses the Hall’s upcoming Induction Gala Ceremony to be heldon Wednesday, August 6th, that will be honouring the Class of 2025 and mentions how tickets to the event can be purchased.; Woodbine Thoroughbred Breeder and Owner Frank Di Giulio, Jr., who discusses his horse Patches O’Houlihan, who recently set a track record in the $100,000 Thorncliffe Stakes at Woodbinewhich was his first start in 2025 and mentions what makes this horse so special . He also talks about his unique process of naming his horses and discusses another one of his horses that he owned, Pink Lloyd and whether Patches O’Houlihan has reached the same Championship racing status as one of Canada’s best Thoroughbred horses ever.

In our feature, ‘In Case You Missed It’ A Look At The Way It Was In Horse Racing News , Larry talks aboutlast Saturday’s Kentucky Derby and how its winner Sovereignty will be skipping the upcoming Preakness to run in the Belmont Stakes instead. He also mentions how according to NBC, this years Kentucky Derby  was the most watched one since 1989. He also  provides  his ‘Ponies Picks of the Day’ selections for several North American Racetracks, later on in the show.  In our ‘Road Trip’ feature, Larry visits today’sPeter Pan Stakes at Belmont at Aqueduct 

● Linda initially discusses the recent announcement of the 2025 Inductees to the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame and talks about the entire graduating class and some of their career accomplishments, that  allowed them to be considered for Hall entry. She also talks about the upcoming Induction Gala Ceremony Evening on Wednesday August 6th and what the festivities will include and how those with an interest in attending can acquire tickets to the evening. Linda also talks about the history of the Hall and how and when she became interested in becoming part of the Horse Racing industry initially.

● Frank talks first about his horse Patches O’Houlihan and whether he was surprised by his Track Record performance at Woodbine last Sunday in the Thorncliffe Stakes, considering  that it was the horses first race of the 2025 Racing Season. Frank also talks about what makes ‘Patches’ such a special horse and the importance of having Bob Tiller as his long-time Trainer.  He also talks about, why the name Patches O’Houlihan and discusses whether ‘Patches’ measures up to another one of his horses, Canadian Champion Pink Lloyd. Frank also discusses how he has a very original style for naming his horses and talks about the current 2025 Thoroughbred season at Woodbine and whether we will see any of his two-year-olds appearing on the track with some highly original names.
