Season 2 Episode 40
Dear friends
I look forward to taking you to Cornwall tomorrow for some time by the sea, some visits to local churches, and an opportunity to do not much but read and rest, after a long slog of a few months in Dorset and London.
If you pop by or if you join me most days, thank you. I would be so pleased if you had half a moment to write a nice review and give a generous rating. I know this is a modest affair of a podcast, but I give it my heart and enjoy very much my interactions with listeners who feel like friends, sharing similar interests in the curiosities of life. Thank you, and if you also felt able to pay a small subscription, even for short periods of time, that would be so kind. This podcast will always be ad-free, amateur and just one level, so it does mean extra support if you can afford it enables me to lead a life where I’m able to give a daily podcast the time it needs. Thank you to my lovely current subscribers. I will be doing another small giveaway soon.
Best wishes all 🌷🙋♀️☀️

Gretel loves the world and history, architecture, literature and people. And so is determined to walk this path with light footsteps and with humour and warmth. Let’s treasure up the beautiful things and ponder them in our hearts.
Top 10 in Global Rankings according to Listen Notes.
Previous guests include historian Tom Holland; Actor Enzo Cilenti; Art historian Philip Mould; Composer Matthew Coleridge; Vicar Angela Tilby; Author Bijan Omrani; Dorset garden hedgehog family, the Venerable Bede and other guests.
Future guests (all being well) are Tom Holland, John Simpson, David Willem, Simon Jenkins, Philippa Langley and Katie Channon.
Your daily dose of calm. Unpolished and unscripted but no ads and no requests for anything but your company. Trying to make the world a gentler place with literature, history and nature. Please don’t expect to find a polished product. The output is lower tier but the authenticity is hopefully as good as it gets. 🦔
Love Gretel 🌝
