The following is a conversation with Russell Reimer.
Russell is the founder and President of Manifesto Sport Management - a company that offers pro athlete management, brand consulting, content production and major event bid strategy services.
Taking inspiration from the movie Jerry Maguire and the famous Sport Manifesto as well as the real life sport agent Leigh Steinberg - Russell has created and grown Manifesto Sport into multi-million dollar sport management company.
Russell has worked successfully with world leaders in sport for the past 18 years – including eight World Championships, nine Olympic Games, over 25 World Cups, the 2020 Calgary X-Games bid and the Calgary 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games bid.
Russell also manages a variety of athletes including Blue Jays third baseman Vlad Guerrero Jr., X-Games & Olympic Gold Medalist , Brady Leman, NHL Stars, Mitch Marner (Toronto Maple Leafs), Taylor Hall (New Jersey Devils), Shea Weber (Montreal Canadians), Carey Price (Montreal Canadians) as well as Olympic gold medalists Tessa Virtue, Jon Montgomery, Rosie MacLennan and Hayley Wickenheiser among others.
