The time is now 07:00 AM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

At 07:00 AM, we begin with an update on the ongoing conflict in Israel and its surrounding regions. Israel continues to face a complex, multi-front war involving Iran and its proxies across seven key areas: Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran itself.

In Gaza, Israeli military operations persist amid severe humanitarian shortages. First responders report their activities are nearly halted due to a blockade that has left fuel, medicine, and food supplies critically depleted. The UN warns of a growing risk of starvation and disease, as aid organizations struggle to deliver essentials amid ongoing hostilities. Israel’s recent military actions aim to dismantle Hamas’s extensive tunnel network—estimated at between 350 and 450 miles underground, with thousands of shafts—used to hide weapons, hostages, and evade detection. The conflict has resulted in over 52,000 Gazan casualties, mostly civilians, according to Hamas’s Health Ministry, while Israel continues its military push to free hostages held since October 7, 2023.

In southern Lebanon, Israeli strikes targeted a Hezbollah site on the Bint Jbeil ridge earlier this morning. Reports describe a “belt of fire,” with around 20 attacks focused on Hezbollah positions, marking a significant escalation in hostilities. The Lebanese military and Hezbollah have exchanged fire, raising fears of a broader regional spillover.

Syria remains tense, with Israel establishing a mobile medical facility in the Druze village of Hatzer in southern Syria to assist injured civilians amid ongoing sectarian clashes. The Israeli Defense Forces report that over 42 Druze have been killed during days of violence between regime-linked militants and local Druze communities. Israel has conducted warning strikes near the Golan Heights and in the Damascus area, emphasizing its intent to protect its northern border.

Lebanese and Israeli military exchanges continue, with recent air raids and ground operations. The Israeli defense system intercepted a significant number of hostile drone and missile threats, including a reported Indian drone that was shot down after being launched from Pakistan. Pakistan claims to have downed 25 Indian-made Harpoon drones, while India states it destroyed several Pakistani radar and air defense stations in response.

In the broader Middle East, tensions have also spilled over into the airspace of Pakistan, which reports ongoing combat between its air defenses and hostile targets, with a series of drone and missile exchanges. The Indian military has claimed to have shot down multiple drones and aerial threats originating from Pakistan.

Meanwhile, in the region’s political arena, former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has dismissed direct negotiations with Western powers, stating such talks are “illogical and undignified under threats,” advocating instead for negotiations under equal conditions.

In the United States, relations appear strained. President Donald Trump has reportedly sidelined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, moving forward with Middle East initiatives independently, particularly regarding normalization efforts with Saudi Arabia. Sources indicate that Trump is frustrated with Netanyahu’s perceived delays on key diplomatic moves, especially related to the Palestinian question. Trump’s focus appears to be on advancing American interests in the Gulf, including potential naming changes for regional waters, and on key security issues like Iran’s nuclear program.

On the domestic front in Israel, tensions are also visible. A recent incid
