While Crassus was killed in the Battle of Carrhae, along with tens of thousands of his men, the fate of thousands of captured Roman soldiers remains one of history's greatest mysteries. Some historical sources suggest that Roman legionaries were taken eastward, possibly ending up in China, thousands of miles from Rome. Could a band of battle-hardened Romans have made it to the farthest reaches of the known world?
