Micky and the Motorcars is an American alternative country band from Stanley, Idaho. The band's sound blends country, rock, and Americana, drawing inspiration from the Red Dirt music scene. Formed in 2002, the band consists of brothers Micky Braun (acoustic guitar, lead vocals) and Gary Braun (lead and harmony vocals, guitars, mandolin, harmonica), along with Pablo Trujillo (lead guitar, pedal steel), Andrew Carrell (bass), and Bobby Paugh (drums and percussion).
Band History:
- The Braun brothers grew up in a musical family, with their father Muzzie Braun being an outlaw country and western swing musician.
- Micky and Gary formed Micky and the Motorcars after their older brothers Cody and Willy started the band Reckless Kelly.
- The band has undergone several lineup changes, with the Braun brothers being the core members.
