Gone But Not Forgotten: Terrence "Terry" Bowers, JR (5/5/25)

In June 1970, 11-year-old Boy Scout Terrence "Terry" Bowers Jr. was brutally murdered while sleeping during a camping trip with Troop 94 at Brandywine Creek State Park, Pennsylvania. His body, found the next morning, had been stabbed multiple times, and despite an exhaustive investigation, the case quickly grew cold. Investigators gathered limited forensic evidence, but the murder weapon was never found, and no witnesses or suspects emerged. Over the decades, theories ranged from the killer being someone familiar with the camp to a random transient, but none have been substantiated. Despite modern advancements in forensic technology, the case remains unsolved, and Terry’s family continues to hope for justice.
