⚫BlackRock has filed with the SEC to launch a blockchain-based share class—DLT Shares—for its $150B Treasury Trust Fund, in partnership with BNY Melon. These shares won’t hold crypto but will use blockchain to mirror ownership records, aiming to modernise fund infrastructure and drive tokenisation adoption. This follows BlackRock’s earlier move with its $1.7B BUIDL fund on Solana, created with Securitize. ❗SEC Delay on Franklin XRP ETF Decision on April 29, 2025

- The Cboe BZX Exchange filed a proposal with the SEC to list and trade shares of the Franklin XRP Fund, a crypto-based ETF.

- The SEC has extended the decision deadline from May 3 to June 17, 2025, under authority provided by the Securities Exchange Act.

- This extension allows the Commission more time to evaluate the rule change and issues raised.

🟣The SEC has dropped its 15-month probe into PayPal’s PYUSD stablecoin with no action taken. This comes as Congress pushes new stablecoin regulations and the SEC softens its stance under new leadership.
