The time is now 07:00 AM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

Israel continues to face a multi-front conflict involving Iran and its proxies across seven key theaters: Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, the West Bank, and Iran itself. The situation remains tense and complex, with escalating hostilities and international implications.

In Gaza, Israeli forces have targeted Hamas positions, destroying rocket launchers and infrastructure aimed at Israeli territory. The Israeli military reported that secondary explosions indicated rockets ready to be fired at Israel. The IDF has also destroyed multiple rocket launchers in Khan Yunis, with ongoing operations to neutralize threats and prevent attacks.

The conflict extends into Lebanon, where Israeli forces have targeted Hezbollah positions believed to be involved in recent exchanges. Maltese authorities are investigating a Gaza-bound aid ship that was halted after explosions damaged its engines. Some reports suggest it may have been used as a cover for Iranian arms smuggling to Hezbollah in Lebanon, with intelligence agencies examining whether the ship's cargo included weapons intended for destabilizing actions in the region.

In Syria, Israeli military units have targeted the main command center of the Syrian regime’s "Old Regime" forces located near Mount Hermon. The IDF confirmed the destruction of this central command post, aiming to weaken Iran-backed militias operating in the area. Tensions are high, with fears of spillover incidents.

Iraq and Yemen remain hotspots of Iranian influence and proxy activity. Yemen’s Houthis have launched ballistic missile attacks against Israel, including an assault on Ben Gurion International Airport, which was targeted with missiles supplied by Iran. The Houthis' missile arsenal is largely supplied by Iran, via smuggling routes through Oman and the Red Sea, despite international efforts to curb such activity. Israel has signaled that it might respond with targeted strikes against Iranian airports and military sites, including Tehran’s major airports and key military logistics hubs, as part of a broader strategy to counter Iran's regional influence.

Iran’s own military infrastructure is also under threat. Israeli officials have discussed the possibility of striking Iranian airports and military bases to degrade Iran’s ability to supply proxies like the Houthis and Hezbollah. Such actions would mark a significant escalation in Israel’s campaign to deter Iranian support for terrorist organizations and regional destabilization.

Domestically, Israel faces political and military challenges. The government has issued a call-up of tens of thousands of reserves, and discussions about occupying parts of Gaza are underway. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans to establish control over Gaza, emphasizing that this is a war aimed at decisively defeating Hamas. The government also considers the possibility of extending sovereignty over parts of the Palestinian territories once Hamas is subdued, with some ministers advocating for annexation of strategic areas.

Meanwhile, tensions continue within Israel, including domestic incidents of antisemitism. A controversy erupted at a Philadelphia bar where a student posted a sign with an antisemitic message, prompting swift condemnation and disciplinary actions. The bar’s owner, Dave Portnoy, announced plans to send the involved students on a tour of Auschwitz as a form of education, highlighting ongoing struggles with hate speech and discrimination.

Internationally, diplomatic efforts are ongoing, but blame and accusations persist. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has pu
