The time is now 11:00 AM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

Today, at eleven in the morning, Israel remains in a tense and complex security situation, facing threats on multiple fronts. The ongoing multi-front conflict involves not only the immediate fighting in Gaza but also broader regional tensions with Iran and its proxies across seven key areas: Iran itself, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.

In Syria, diplomatic efforts continue behind the scenes. Two American envoys, Rabbi Abraham Cooper and Pastor Johnnie Moore, are expected to visit the war-torn country within weeks, contingent on the approval of President Donald Trump. Their mission aims to assess Syria’s situation, particularly regarding its minorities, humanitarian projects, and the potential for future normalization with Israel. Despite Syria's fall under Islamic rule since last year's regime change, officials there recognize the importance of US support for rebuilding efforts. The Syrian foreign minister expressed willingness to engage, and discussions included proposals for humanitarian initiatives supported by Israel and other nations. However, US officials remain cautious, recalling the Taliban’s broken promises in Afghanistan, and emphasizing that normalization cannot proceed without clear steps toward stability and reform.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, the Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen reports that the Houthis in Yemen have continued developing advanced missiles and UAVs, despite ongoing American and regional efforts to contain their activities. Social media footage shows a mysterious explosion over an industrial zone in Iran’s second-largest city, with reports of casualties. Iran’s military actions include recent missile tests, and the US has intercepted Iranian weapons shipments intended for the Houthis, highlighting ongoing regional proxy conflicts.

In Gaza, Israeli military sources indicate active fighting, with Israeli troops and reserves engaged in efforts to contain Hamas. The conflict has seen significant casualties on both sides, with Israeli soldiers Yaly Seror and Noam Ravid laid to rest after falling in Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued strong warnings to Iran-backed militias, including the Houthis, threatening severe retaliation following recent missile strikes at Ben-Gurion Airport, attributed to Houthi missile tests aimed at Israel.

Regional tensions extend to the Indian subcontinent, where India has shut down the Baghlihar Dam on the Chenab River, halting water flow into Pakistan in response to recent terrorist attacks in Kashmir, escalating the long-standing dispute with Islamabad.

Domestically, Israeli politics are also in focus. The government has approved preliminary legislation to split the roles of the Attorney General and the Prosecutor General, a move criticized by opposition figures who fear it may influence ongoing criminal cases against Prime Minister Netanyahu. Additionally, Prime Minister Netanyahu held a security consultation with senior ministers and military officials, amid ongoing concerns about threats from Iran and its proxies.

On the security front, an arrest was made of a 16-year-old suspect suspected of planning a terror attack at the Tira police station. Meanwhile, in the south, the Israeli military has praised the resilience of reserve troops fighting alongside regular forces in Rafah, as the campaign against Hamas continues.

Furthermore, a major security incident occurred near Naharayim, where weapons including an M16 rifle and ammunition were discovered during infrastructure work, prompting an investigation by security forces.

In the broader regional landscape, ex
