Professor John Vervaeke (@vervaeke_john) teaches Cognitive Science, Mindfulness, and Buddhism at the University of Toronto. He's producing a series of lectures titled "Awakening from the Meaning Crisis" charting the development of thinking technologies (narrative, writing, democracy, etc), and their influence on our development as selves and as a species—and how at this point in history we are struggling to make collective and individual meaning.
