Oh, I wish I had what they had already. But here's the truth. We're only witnessing a chapter of their story. What we've missed are the encyclopedia sized chapters leading up to the climax of their life and career that we're now experiencing. Comparing your life's chapter to someone else's is not only unhealthy, it's extremely discouraging. Someone else's success does not stop you from achieving yours. And in fact, watching other succeed can, quite frankly, be a beacon of hope, something that you can grab onto and say, You know what? If they did it, so can I.
