Father-son, Massimo Bernetti and Michele Bernetti, oversee Umani Ronchi Winery in Italy's Abruzzo and Marche. The family started making wine in 1957 with a focus on the local Verdicchio and Pecorino white varieties and Montepulciano red in three estates. Founder of The Wine Advocate in 1978, Robert Parker Jr, has been called the most influential wine critic of all time. Parker retired in May 2019 after selling a majority interest in his newsletter in 2012, which continues publication.
