21. Storytelling: Turning 29

Published 6 years, 3 months ago
Description

THIS IS AN ANNA WITH 2Ns EPISODE BEFORE I REBRANDED TO CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH. I RECOMMEND STARTING WITH THE MOST RECENT CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH EPISODES.

This year I turned 29! Just one year away from the big 30. In this episode I tell you about a little personal story and highlight some grammar and vocabulary along the way.

Remember, we communicate and interact with each other through stories. Here I talk naturally and conversationally as if we were together in a coffee shop. This is excellent practice for you when you are out there in the big English world!

Some of the vocabulary and grammar that I talk about includes:

  • To be an old soul
  • To be bricking it
  • Independent shops
  • To get out of something (a situation)
  • I wish + past tense
  • In hindsight..
