Back to Episodes207. The Language of Leadership: Communicating Confidently in English Presentations with Christopher Wright, The English Training Company
Description
One of the biggest fears people have aside from spiders, snakes and flying is speaking in public.
As a manager or leading giving presentations is part and parcel of what you have to do, so the question seems to be, how can we make this process better so you can feel more confident?
Here to talk to you today is Christopher Wright. I first met Christopher in 2023 and I really wanted to bring him on because I think he has a really valuable perspective to share with you.
Since 2012 Chris has been running a training business in Spain that has helped many top companies and professionals. He is also an associate teacher in Business and Communication Skills at Comillas University. He is an ex-president and member of Toastmasters (Public speaking organization) and has given and evaluated over 80 speeches.
In the episode Chris talks about:
- What your first steps could be if you find public speaking in English difficult
- How you can create your own coach through your " English voice"
- Perfection vs communication
- Why being concise, simple and clear is so important
- How to use your voice to be more engaging
And much more.
