In this last chapter of Amos, we are met with a sobering reality of how nothing can be hidden from God's almighty hand. In this world, people may tend to find ways to hide their deeds from the law or from others in a bid to find safety and may be successful for a while. However, Amos reminds us in these verses that the same way the Israelites thought they could hide themselves from God's righteous judgment and could not in the end, we too are in the same state.
