Description
on Inspirational Women: Hand in Hand is a hugely important non-profit organization in Snohomish County providing the essential services for families and very specifically children. Safe Place is one of the entities providing 72-hour emergency shelter for children who have been separated from their homes due to suspected abuse or neglect. But Safe Place is more than shelter, it's a home-like atmosphere to support the child experiencing the trauma of such separation. Janaela Hopper is the Program Manager, and Karin Lenac is the Childcare Professional on staff, and they share some experiences of their labor of love, providing comfort for a child, such as at Christmas having presents for them under the tree. Volunteers are always needed as is your financial support to continue this fundamental service. www.handinhandkids.org
