He was immediately arrested and questioned, but the answers Derek gave just grew more and more bizarre. What could cause a child to lash out and savagely murder his own mother?!
UPDATE :
In 2024, Derek Rosa’s trial was postponed as he faces first-degree murder charges in the death of his mother, Irina Garcia. Despite being 13 at the time, he’s being tried as an adult. The case continues to spark debate, with supporters raising over $140K for his defense and urging for a fair trial.
