Brenden Schaeffer discusses a painful loss for the St. Louis Cardinals as Francisco Lindor and the Mets walked it off on Friday night at Citi Field.
That's the seventh road loss of the year for the Cards in only eight games, and it was a frustrating one considering they got a few timely hits (including a clutch home run by Brendan Donovan in the top of the ninth) and decent enough starting pitching from Miles Mikolas.
Frankly, it was the bullpen slowly revealing some cracks that ultimately came back to haunt the Redbirds in this one.
Plus, JJ Wetherholt leaves early with an injury in Springfield.
