We're covering the 37th Academy Awards or the films of 1964. This was a 5 nominee year, but we've added 5 additional films (for 1964?!?) to make this one of our 10 movie mini-tournaments. We'll be talking about the losers from the matchups in this episode.
The nominees were: Becket; Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb; Mary Poppins; My Fair Lady; and Zorba the Greek.
The films we added were: The Americanization of Emily; A Hard Day's Night; Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte; Seven Days in May; and Topkapi
