Specifically over the last decade we used the U.S. data to help us forecast what our Bank of Canada will do with interest rates. As real estate investors interest rates are one of the biggest variables we have, we can't control when it comes to our properties so we pay special attention to any economic data that may gives us clues as to their direction.
