Episode Details

We're joined by special guest Corey DuBois, FedEx pilot and chairman of deacons at DeSoto Hills Baptist Church, who shares his journey from a childhood fascination with aviation to his current role flying Boeing 767s and training other pilots.

• Corey's aviation journey began at just 6 months old with his first flight log entry
• Growing up in Tupelo, MS, his grandfather instilled a lifelong love of flying
• After starting in pre-med at Ole Miss, Corey realized his true passion was aviation
• Delta State University's aviation program helped him earn his credentials
• Now at FedEx, Corey flies cargo and trains other pilots in emergency procedures
• His favorite part of flying: feeling disconnected from the world and closer to God at 35,000 feet
• For his devotional, Corey explores 1 Timothy 4:8 on the value of physical vs. spiritual training
• Practical application includes setting spiritual goals, finding accountability, and resting in grace
• True church friendships become family who help you "write your life story"
• God isn't looking for perfection, but willing hearts with a desire to follow Him
