CIRS and Mold Illness: What I Learned From Testing, Environment, and the Mind–Body Connection

Published 1 year, 1 month ago
Description

Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), often referred to as mold illness, is a complex and often debated condition.

In this episode, I share my personal experience of becoming sick, working through recovery, and approaching the problem the way I approach everything—as an engineer trying to understand what's actually happening.

I walk through:

  • how I evaluated my environment
  • what testing revealed (and what it didn't)
  • patterns I observed in what helped and what didn't
  • how I began to consider the role of the mind–body connection alongside environmental factors

This episode is not a medical diagnosis or a universal explanation.

It's a model—based on experience, observation, and reasoning—offered as a way to think about why some people appear to be affected by environmental exposures while others are not.

If you're navigating mold exposure, CIRS, or unexplained health symptoms, this is a perspective designed to help you ask better questions and explore your own path.
