Story Transcript:

Sl: Sončni žarki so se nežno odbijali od gladine jezera Bled.
En: The sun's rays gently reflected off the surface of jezero Bled.

En: A spring day promised warmth and joy.

Sl: Na obali so trije prijatelji pripravljali piknik.
En: On the shore, three friends were preparing a picnic.

Sl: Tomaž je razgrnil pisano odejo in se nasmehnil ob pogledu na kipljajočo vodo in mogočne Julijske Alpe v ozadju.
En: Tomaž spread out a colorful blanket and smiled at the sight of the rippling water and the mighty Julijske Alpe in the background.

Sl: Mateja je prinesla košaro polno sendvičev in sadja.
En: Mateja brought a basket full of sandwiches and fruit.

Sl: "Pomlad je tu!
En: "Spring is here!

En: It's time for new adventures," she said with a sparkle in her eyes.

Sl: Jure, nekoliko odsoten, je brez besed postavil hladilno torbo s pijačo.
En: Jure, somewhat distant, silently placed down the cooler with drinks.

En: He looked around, thinking about the work waiting for him at the office.

Sl: Ko so sedli, je Tomaž začutil val nostalgije.
En: As they sat down, Tomaž felt a wave of nostalgia.

En: He remembered how, as children, they explored the woods and swam in the lake.

En: "Do you remember the day we were catching frogs on the other side of the lake?"

Sl: " je vprašal Tomaž.
En: Tomaž asked.

Sl: Mateja se je zasmejala in prikimala.
En: Mateja laughed and nodded.

Sl: "Ja, in potem je Jure padel v vodo!
En: "Yes, and then Jure fell into the water!"

En: Jure smiled, though he obviously resisted.

Sl: "Bili so to dobri časi," je priznal.
En: "Those were good times," he admitted.

En: A kind of tension between Mateja and Jure marred the cheerful atmosphere.

Sl: Stari nesporazumi so ležali v zraku, pripravljeni, da ponovno pokvarijo dan.
En: Old misunderstandings lingered in the air, ready to spoil the day once more.

En: Tomaž, reflecting on his friends, decided he would not let misunderstandings threaten their rekindling connection.

En: "Why don't we take a boat to the island?"

Sl: " je predlagal Tomaž.
En: Tomaž suggested.

Sl: Vsi so se strinjali.
En: Everyone agreed.

Sl: Vkrcali so se na majhen čoln in začeli veslati proti otočku s cerkvico sredi jezera.
En: They boarded a small boat and began rowing towards the little island with a church in the middle of the lake.

Sl: Kar naenkrat se je nebo pooblačilo, veter je potegnil in dežne kaplje so začele padati.
En: Suddenly, the sky clouded over, the wind picked up, and raindrops started to fall.

En: The unexpected bad weather forced them to work together.
