The time is now 05:00 PM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

Today, Israel continues to face a broad, multi-front conflict driven by ongoing hostilities with Iran and its regional proxies. The military operations, diplomatic efforts, and regional tensions have escalated across seven key fronts: Iran, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.

In the north, Israeli forces targeted the home of the terrorist responsible for the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Alon Scagjio in Jenin last July. The house was demolished in the village of Borkan, west of Jenin, following Israeli military action. This operation reflects Israel’s ongoing campaign to dismantle militant infrastructure in the West Bank, amidst heightened tensions and recent clashes involving Palestinian militants.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Hezbollah announced the funeral of a prominent member, a Hezbollah activist named Ali Abbas, who was killed in an Israeli strike in the southern region. Hezbollah has issued warnings of potential escalation, and a yellow Hezbollah banner was displayed inviting supporters to the funeral scheduled for tomorrow at 15:30. The conflict’s regional dimension remains tense, with Israeli military preparedness heightened along the northern border.

Syria remains a significant arena, with Israeli aircraft reportedly striking targets in the Golan Heights and southern Syria, including the destruction of a militant base linked to Iranian-backed groups. These strikes are part of Israel’s ongoing efforts to prevent Iranian entrenchment and missile transfers.

In Iraq, reports indicate increased activity by Iranian-backed militias, with some targeting US interests and Israeli-related assets. The US military has conducted approximately 70 airstrikes in Yemen over the past 24 hours, targeting Houthis in the capital Sana'a and the port city of Hodeidah, in response to ongoing hostilities and threats from Iranian proxies in the region.

Yemen itself remains a battleground, with the US stepping up drone and air operations against Houthi forces. An attack on the Al-Hafa camp in Sana'a was reported, part of a broader campaign to curb Iranian influence in the area.

In Gaza, tensions persist as Hamas and other militant groups prepare for possible negotiations over hostages. Palestinian sources confirmed that Israel’s proposal for a ceasefire is under review, with Hamas indicating they are studying the terms. Reports of Israeli strikes in Khan Younis and other parts of Gaza continue, including targeted demolitions of terrorist infrastructure and the destruction of tunnels.

Internationally, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Alexander Trufanov, a Russian-Israeli hostage freed from Hamas captivity. Putin expressed Russia’s commitment to securing the return of all hostages, emphasizing the importance of long-standing ties with the Palestinian people and reaffirming Russia’s role in these negotiations.

In the United States, a provocative incident unfolded when a man was accused of setting fire to part of Governor Josh Shapiro’s residence in Pennsylvania. The suspect, identified as Cody Balmer, claimed that his actions were related to Shapiro’s perceived pro-Israel stance, reflecting the heightened tensions over the Gaza conflict and domestic political divisions.

Domestically, Israel is also dealing with security concerns on its own borders. An Israeli cyclist was injured in Tel Aviv in a mid-level collision, and another young man was seriously hurt after colliding with a tree on an electric scooter. The government continues to monitor threats from militant groups and has issued directives to reinfor
