The New Orleans Saints could be heading in to the 2025 season without Derek Carr, and it may have been by his own doing. The Saints and Carr look to heading towards a separation, one way or another. Either Carr's season is on the brink of unavailability because of his shoulder injury or he's on his way out due to forcing his way out. Either way, the end of this era looks like it could get messy.
If the Saints do look to trade him away, it'll be after June 1. Two teams currently make sense, pending on their draft hauls. The Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. The only way the Steelers work though, is if the Saints were to be team that lands Aaron Rodgers. They have the free agency to do it, but do they have the personalities to manage it? We don't think so.
