The Red Sox lost 3-2 to the Chicago White Sox Saturday afternoon in Chicago. The White Sox have won the 1st 2 games of the series and have an opportunity to sweep the series Sunday when they face their former teammate Garrett Crochet. Brooks Baldwin ended the game in the Bottom of the 9th Inning with an RBI Single off Aroldis Chapman. The Red Sox have lost 5 of 6 and are 2 games under .500.

On the Board 1st- The Red Sox got on the board first with 2 runs off Martin Perez in the 5th Inning. Carlos Narvaez led off with a single and scored all the way from 1st-Base on a Triple from Ceddanne Rafaela. Romy Gonzalez followed with a Single that scored Rafaela from 3rd-Base and made it 2-0. The Red Sox are now 4-1 when scoring 1st this season.

Feel For Fitts: Richard Fitts was terrific over the 1st 5 Innings against the White Sox Saturday afternoon. Fitts took the hill in the Bottom of the 6th with a 2-0 lead, but he exited the game with an injury. Zack Kelly came into the game and gave up a 2-run Home Run to Luis Robert Jr. that tied the game at 2-2. Fitts with a no-decision. It was later reported that Fitts left with right-shoulder pain. Fitts Final Line- 5.0+ IP. 2 Hits. 0 R. 1 BB. 5 K.

Red Sox Trade: The Red Sox traded Pitcher Quinn Priester to the Milwaukee Brewers for minor league outfielder Yophery Rodriguez, a competitive balance pick (#33) in the 2025 MLB Draft and a player to be named later or cash considerations on Monday. Rodriguez was touted as the 7th-best prospect in the Brewers system according to MLB Pipeline. He’s 19 and started this season off at the Advanced-A Level. Priester was acquired from the Pirates last July for infielder Nick Yorke. Priester made his MLB debut on the final day of the 2024 Regular Season, and he earned the win vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.
