Derek Carr May End As New Orleans Saints' WORST Free Agency Signing In Team's History

The New Orleans Saints signed Derek Carr to a four-year $150 million contract in 2023 and thanks to a new shoulder injury that threatens Carr's availability in 2025, the deal may end up being the team's worst ever. Out of 68 possible games on the deal, Carr saw the field for only 27 and finished with a 14-13 record with underwhelming production. While injury and coaching concerns add to the final results, if Carr never sees the field for New Orelans again, their sensible investment in 2023 turns into their worst by 2025.
Kellen Moore now has a chance, either with Spencer Rattler, Shedeur Sanders or any other drafted passer to do what Sean Payton never did or even had to by developing a young passer from form drafted rookie to starter.
