Today, Larry goes one on one with Jockey Kendrick Carmouche, who is off to a great start this racing season and discusses in particular last weekend that saw him win four races at Aqueduct on Wood Memorial Day, including his 4000th career victory. Kendrick also discusses his family roots within the Thoroughbred industry and a Jockey that he idolized growing up that helped him make the decision to become a Jockey that much easier. He also mentions a race that he would still like to win in his career.; Woodbine Trainer Angus Buntain, who talks about his 2024 racing season at Woodbine and one that included his first stakes winners of his Training career. Angus also talks about the upcoming Thoroughbred season at Woodbine and mentions some of the horses that he has some high hopes for and also talks about his road to becoming a Trainer and some of the Trainers that helped him along the way.; Woodbine’s newly appointed Director, Standardbred Racing Operations , Megan Walker, who discusses her new role and what it entails and how she has been part of Woodbine since 2016. She also discusses her family ties that have led to her becoming part of the Standardbred industry and how it is so important for the industry to continue to promote the sport to a female audience with more women now becoming part of Harness Racing now.

In our feature, ‘In Case You Missed It’ A Look At The Way It Was In Horse Racing News , Larry talks about Canadian Thoroughbred Horse of the Year Moira, who made her first start for her new owners in Australia last weekend and how she fared in the race last weekend. He also provides his ‘Ponies Picks of the Day’ selections for several North American Racetracks, later on in the show and in our ‘Road Trip’ feature, he visits today’s Lexington Stakes at Keeneland Racecourse.

● Kendrick initially talks about last Saturday’s Wood Memorial card at Aqueduct which saw him win four races, including his 4000th career riding win. He also talks about how the four victories allowed him to be named the winner of the Jockey’s Guild’s ‘ Jockey of the Week Award’ and talks about how he initially became a Jockey and some of the tracks that he has ridden at. Kendrick also talks about whether there was another Jockey that he followed closely when he first started out and mentions whether there is

a race that he still wants to win and discusses some of the better horses that he has had the opportunity to ride throughout his riding career.

● Angus initially talks about the 2024 Thoroughbred season and why it was one of the best years that he has had training and mentions a couple of horses that were his first stakes winners and how they helped contribute towards the 2024 success. Angus also talks about the upcoming Woodbine season and how many horses he has stabled at Woodbine and mentions his path to becoming a Trainer and discusses some of the individuals that helped him along the way. He is also asked if he believes that Trainer’s have Training niche’s and if so what would his be. ● Megan talks about her recent new role at Woodbine as Director, Standardbred Racing Operations and what the role entails. She also talks about how she has worked in several roles at Woodbine since 2016 and how growing up she was always interested in Harness Racing through some family ties which included some Hall of Famers. Megan also talks about how she is constantly watching women that are making successful careers in the horse racing industry and says why it is necessary for the Standardbred industry to promote more to a female audience. Megan also talks about how and why teamwork forms the foundation of her approach to industry relations and how every person in the industry plays an important role in the success of the Standardbred industry.
