Minicast: Voices From the 2018 NYC Int'l Women's Strike

Episode 157 Published 8 years, 3 months ago
Description

We hear from some of the speakers and strikers present at the New York 2018 Women’s Strike. Unifying themes included an end to gender violence, a demand for adequate universal social services, the fight for labor rights, and the need for an anti-racist, anti-imperialist feminism. Guided by the tenets of a renewed radicalism, solidarity, and internationalism, the evening was an electric display of indignation where the spirit of hope permeated through the crowd. Support forward thinking media by making a one time donation or become a sustaining member for as little as $2 a month.
