A purportedly lost 1974 study by Swiss psychiatrist Dr. Emil Halberg. Halberg's research allegedly identified individuals who appeared functionally normal but lacked genuine empathy and emotion. These people could convincingly imitate emotional responses and expertly manipulate others.
