📖 The Boastful Chicken

🧑‍🏫Author: Edward Antokhin;

👩‍🎨 Illustrations: I. Prokopenko;

🗣️Reads by: Anastasia Boyko

The tale tells of a naughty chicken who decided to run away from the Hen and tell his brothers about his “heroic” exploits on his own. The chicken boasts that he drove a huge rat out of the yard, chased away a dog, and even defeated a bear. However, in reality, everything was completely different: the rat fell into a trap, the dog was muzzled, and the bear was a toy. When the chicken saw a real, terrifying enemy, a mouse, it immediately got scared. Mother Hen teaches the chicken an important lesson: half-truths are no better than lies, and it is important to be honest in your stories. The fairy tale teaches children the importance of truth and the consequences of boasting.
