How Billions in Medical Cuts Would Hurt Pittsburgh

Published 11 months, 3 weeks ago
Description

Our region is facing billions of dollars in cuts to medical care and research by the Trump administration. The decisions made today will have far-reaching effects for decades to come — for the patients who rely on Medicaid, for the scientists researching medical treatments and cures, and for a city whose identity is built around eds and meds. We're joined by three local doctors to talk about the very real impacts if funding goes away and the work they're doing to try and prevent that from happening.

Thank you to our guests:

  • Dr. Gabriel Cisneros, pediatrician with UPMC Children Community Pediatrics
  • Dr. Marian Jarlenski, professor of public health at the University of Pittsburgh
  • Dr. Adam Mueller, assistant professor of radiation oncology at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center
