Dr. Justin Lancaster | Why Science Is Moving Too Slowly—and How One Man Plans to Fix It

Season 1 Episode 28

We would be closer than we think to curing disease and reversing climate change—if we could unleash science to operate at the speed of now.

👀 That’s just one of the jaw-dropping insights from today’s guest on the Magnify Your Message podcast, Dr. Justin Lancaster.

Dr. Lancaster’s resume reads like a global think tank in motion. He’s led high-impact research initiatives across institutions including Harvard, MIT, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Carnegie Mellon, and he’s collaborated with household names in the field of science.

Today, he’s taking that lifetime of experience and channeling it into something truly transformative: pioneering Fast Science, a radical new approach that uses AI to accelerate breakthroughs in both biomedical research and climate solutions.

In this episode, we dive into his incredible journey to becoming a beacon for scientific innovation and human potential.

🎧 Listen in as Dr. Lancaster reveals:

⚡️ Why the biggest threat to solving climate change and curing disease isn’t lack of knowledge—but the outdated speed of science itself…and what he's doing to fix it

⚡️ How AI could become the most powerful ally for scientists—and dramatically shorten the path from discovery to breakthrough

⚡️ Why this scientist swears by energy healing, and how blending intuition with data might be the key to future innovation

⚡️ The reason you don’t need a degree, a lab coat, or a science background to make a real impact in global research—and how his system invites you to help shape the future

This conversation is a masterclass in possibility—and a rallying cry for action. If you're feeling stuck, skeptical, or like “it’s too late” to make a difference… you need this episode.

🎧 Listen now and get ready to see your role in science, sustainability, and global change in a whole new light.

About the Guest

Dr. Justin Lancaster (Ph.D., UCSD; J.D. VT Law School) is a scientist who invented a method to empower citizen scientists to engage directly in biomedical research so that human disease can be solved quickly, using AI and machine learning. He has lectured at universities and international conferences, given podcast and TV interviews, and appeared on the cover of the LA Times, Boston Globe and San Diego Union.

Dr. Lancaster says traditional science is far too slow and primarily profit motivated, which has left many diseases unsolved for over 50 years. His crowdsourcing model combined with AI and computer technology will open the doors to discovering cures at an accelerated pace and bringing these cures to families across America.
