Description
Detroit Tigers beat the New York Yankees at Comerica Park in Detroit behind Casey Mize’s quality start. Casey Mize earned his 2nd win of the season tossing six innings allowing just one earned run, he struck out six and walked three. Andy Ibanez hit a three-run home run for the Detroit Tigers in the bottom of the third, while Justyn-Henry Malloy singled home two runs to add to the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Detroit Tigers have now won four games in a row and are 4-0 at home at Comerica Park. Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees will play game two of the series tomorrow Tarik Skubal goes for Detroit, first pitch at 1:10 ET.
