The Red Sox completed their doubleheader sweep over the St. Louis Cardinals with an impressive 18-3 win in the night cap Sunday night at Fenway Park. The Red Sox picked up their 1st series sweep of the season and have won 5 in a row after losing 4 straight.  The Red Sox tallied season-high's in both runs (18), and hits (22) with 10 extra-base hits. (1 HR & 9 Doubles).

A Win for the Rookie: Hunter Dobbins was added to the roster for the doubleheader and notched the win in his Big League debut. The 25-year-old was staked to an early lead and gave up 2 earned runs over 5 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 5. Dobbins was an 8th Round pick out of Texas Tech in 2021. He was named as the Red Sox 2024 Minor League starting pitcher of the year & he was added to 40-man roster in offseason.

1st Walk-off of the Season: The Red Sox came from behind and won the first game of the doubleheader, 5-4 in 10 Innings. The Sox got 2 runs in the bottom of he 9th to even the game at 4-4, and Wilyer Abreu walked it off in the 10th with the game-winning hit (single) off the Green Monster.  It was also the Red Sox 1st 1-run victory of the season and 1st win of the season when trailing after 8 Innings.

What's On Tap?: The Sox open up a 4-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays Monday night at Fenway Park. The Blue Jays are coming off being swept over the weekend in a 3-game series against the New York Mets and are 5-5 through their 1st 10 games.  Vladimir Guerrero, Anthony Santander, and Bo Bichette have all gone without a Home Run over the 1st 10 games of the season. Richard Fitts is expected to get the start on the mound in the series opener.
