Lauren Galley, 23, is an award winning teen mentor, TEDx Speaker, Amazon Best Selling Author, a recognized Changemaker by The White House for the State of Women Summit, UN Youth Delegate, a college graduate student and President of Girls Above Society, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering tween and teen girls to be confident while maintaining positive morals and values as they navigate the tough pressures of today’s media driven society.  Lauren has been featured on media outlets such as Fox News, Teen Vogue, BuzzFeed, Girl Scouts, The Best Ever You Network and Women You Should Know.  Her writing and work has appeared in numerous publications throughout the U.S. such as Huffington Post, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Women's Health, CNN, Dove and Buzzfeed, covering the issues and pressures young teens are facing in today’s society. Lauren received the annual "SPIRIT" Award from the Susan L. Curtis Foundation for her direct impact of empowerment on the girls of Camp Susan Curtis. Lauren’s GIRL TALK Curriculum has taken off with great success this past year and is now in 4 states. She created GIRL TALK 1 for elementary age girls and shortly after created GIRL TALK 2 for middle school girls.  ?Lauren lives in Texas where she attends Sam Houston State University pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a proud Alpha Delta Pi Alumna.
