In the first part of a two part podcast I had the delight to talk to Geoff Miller, the former England cricketer and Chairman of selectors. From listening to the Ashes on the radio at home with his Dad in January 1959 Geoff went on to fulfill his father’s dream of representing his country down under in the late 1970s. Geoff recalls his Test Debut against the mighty West Indies in 1976, success against Australia, his 98 not out in a Test match against Pakistan and special day for Derbyshire in the 1981 NatWest Trophy Final. After retiring from cricket in 1990 Geoff began a new career as a popular after dinner speaker.
