An officer spotted a Scion fail to stop properly at a stop sign. While being followed, the driver failed to stop at a second stop sign. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver was coming from home a friend’s house and was in his neighborhood. The officer utilized his agency K9 to conduct a free air sniff around the vehicle - the K9 made a positive alert. Officers could not find anything in the vehicle. When emptying his pockets, paraphernalia was found that tested positive for h*roin. It seemed that there must be more where that came from, so officers had the suspect open his mouth. Two bags fell out - one with h*roin and the other with x*nax. Post-miranda, the suspect stated that he had just purchased the h*roin.
