You’re Not Alone: Empowering Others to Navigate Mental Illness with Support and Compassion

Emotional Comfortwear (ECW) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on

mental health, based in Michigan with plans for nationwide expansion. Founded by Edison

Konan on August 21, 2021, ECW was born out of personal tragedy and a profound need for

accessible mental health support. Edison, originally from the Ivory Coast in West Africa,

experienced firsthand the stigma surrounding mental health in his culture. This inspired him to

create ECW after witnessing his sister's struggle with self-harm and an eating disorder.

Mission: To make various types of therapy accessible to everyone, improving mental and

physical well-being and fostering a caring and welcoming community.

Vision: To create an authentic, joyful, kind, loving, and healthy world.
