I'm deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake that rocked Myanmar and Bangkok on March 28. Having traveled to Bangkok several times and once to Myanmar, I believe in the resilience of the Thai government and its people to recover. However, Myanmar remains one of the world's poorest countries, and during my visit to deliver toys and books to schools along the Mekong Delta, my heart broke witnessing the children's plight.
