Sophie McNeill - Searching for the right way to effect change

Published 1 year, 2 months ago
Description

The first time I saw Sophie McNeill she was a baby-faced journalist in a flak jacket reporting from a conflict in the Middle East. Inspired from the age of 14 by a documentary on human rights in East Timor, Sophie has been trying to find the right way to change the world. She has worked for SBS and the ABC as a journalist, a researcher and activist for Human Rights Watch and Greenpeace and is now about to take her seat as a Greens member in the Western Australian Parliament. Every step of the way she’s been driven by a passion for justice and a hope that change is possible. If you know someone who is making the world a better place - tell me about them! My email is: shevonnehunt@substack.com
