Description

Thanks for listening! Let us know what you think. God bless!

Gina Christian of OSV News catches you up on the Catholic news of the day for March 28, 2025. In this episode: Bishop Mark J. Seitz of El Paso, chair of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Migration, shares his thoughts on what's at stake in the nation's response to migrants. Amid the 2025 Jubilee Year, Catholics are banding together through a nonprofit to pay off millions in others' medical debt. Pope Francis continues to convalesce at his residence, following a daily regimen of prayer, daily Mass, respiratory therapy and rest, as well as some paperwork. Catholic and community advocates in Brazil are expressing concern over a new road through a rainforest -- built ahead of the upcoming United Nations climate conference -- saying it stands to ultimately harm Indigenous peoples and the environment as a whole. The Saint-Denis basilica in France, the resting place of kings since the Middle Ages, is being restored as part of an effort that Bishop Etienne Guillet said brings "joy" to the community.
