In the fall of 1952 the town of Flatwoods, West Virginia, was terrorized by a creature part cryptid and part otherworldly monster. This was over ten years before the infamous Mothman sighting in Point Pleasant. In fact, the state of country roads is more like the state of cryptid-roads, being home to some of the most incredible reports of strange creatures. When factoring in official explanations and the outright denials about these stories, objectively there must be something behind the phenomenon, as with UFOs, but that doesn't mean they are what anyone claims as subjective fact.
