Catching! Arguably the most important defensive position on the diamond. However, what does it take to truly make a good catcher? Is it a strong arm? Blocking? Framing? I decided to stop guessing and bring on an expert. Tyler Goodro is the founder of Goodro Catching. A facility in Omaha, Nebraska where he works on teaching catchers of all ages the nuances about the position. In this episode he takes us through his background as a catcher, helping players with the recruiting process, pop time, arm strength, blocking, and what a typical day looks like at his facility.
