Through the academic and religious oligarchies, there seems to be a very intentional :"oversight" that has included creating fictional characters and putting Ahriman qualities upon them. Even avoiding speaking of the Persian traditional knowledge that would go quite far to explain what we're seeing today.
Let's go for a walk and I'll think out loud for you.
