Description

Gautamji talks on Chapter 2 - The Yoga of Knowledge

Krishna addresses Arjuna's grief on multiple levels: spiritually, by emphasizing the eternity of the soul; mentally and intellectually, as these aspects of the self carry forward; and physically, acknowledging the inevitability of birth and death. The world operates through constant cycles of birth and death—childhood fades, and youth is born. Gautamji discusses how grief stems from our selfish attachments, mourning the lost benefits once provided by the objects of our attachment. The only certainty in life is death, and just as summer must end for autumn to begin, death is a natural part of life's cycle.
