Cincinnati Bearcats First Half Turning Points: What made the First Half 5-1 for the Bearcats

Episode 216 Published 3 years, 5 months ago
Description

There were several turning points for the Cincinnati Bearcats in the first half of the season. Alex looks at the key moments that helped the Cincinnati Bearcats achieve a 5-1 record.

The first key moment was leaving quarterback Ben Bryant in the game at Arkansas after a lackluster first half. While there is still intrigue about Evan Prater being this team's starting quarterback, putting him in the game would have made for a potential quarterback controversy going forward.

The Cincinnati Bearcats defense has shut down opponents so far this season, but the two defensive touchdowns against Kennesaw State set the tone for this defense to also be opportunistic.

Offensively, quarterback Ben Bryant's connection with wide receiver Tyler Scott has given the Cincinnati Bearcats a prolific wide receiver that they haven't had since... Mardy Gilyard? Either way, their connection has given this offense a new dimension and the ability to take the top off the defense.
