Cincinnati Bearcats offensive coordinator Tom Manning is leaving to take the tight ends role with the Indianapolis Colts. Alex explains why this is a good problem for the Cincinnati Bearcats football program to have, and it's not an indictment on Scott Satterfield.
The silver lining to Manning leaving is Scott Satterfield is this team's offensive play caller. He's been calling plays for almost two decades, and the last nine years at Louisville and Appalachian State show why Cincinnati Bearcats fans should have more faith in Satterfield.
Cincinnati Bearcats fans probably think of the Big 12 as a pass-heavy conference. The truth, though, is that teams can have a lot of success running the football in the Big 12 too. And given Satterfield's offensive philosophies and concepts, there's a good chance the Cincinnati Bearcats could be a run first offense in 2023.
